RE:V-TALK
A series of events for those who don’t just want to respond to change, but understand it. A dialogue between different perspectives, for more informed decisions.
For those who feel the need for a space to pause and better read what is happening. Nothing new, really: history repeats itself. Faced with every great innovation, humanity has had to change perspective and reorganise the way it lives. It happened with the wheel, which revolutionised the concept of distance; with print, which made knowledge accessible to a wider audience; with the Internet, which opened up new spaces for communication; with digitalisation, which redefined the concept of work and social relationships.
Perhaps the real novelty of our time is not the nature of the revolutions but the speed at which they follow one another: the time between one transformation and the next has shrunk, leaving us less room to fully grasp their effects. It is in this accelerated pace that the greatest challenge lies: learning to decide while the very ground beneath our feet keeps shifting.
Taking part in these events means having a space to pause and observe change as it happens, learn to interpret it and make more informed decisions, even when not all the facts are in yet.
We chose the name RE:V-TALK: RE evokes the idea of revisiting and reviewing what seemed settled; V for Vision points to the ability to imagine possible futures; TALK highlights the heart of the initiative: dialogue, exchange and the cross-pollination of knowledge and perspectives.
We chose to create this series of events drawing on our daily experience alongside organizations facing change. These meetings were born to take the same multidisciplinary perspective beyond our projects, making it available to those who must decide when the context changes faster than the ability to understand it.
That is why we chose to create an occasion to pause and reflect: a place dedicated to observing change at its different levels, from the most operational to the most strategic. A space to put autopilot on hold, read the context from different perspectives and engage with those who experience change on the front line.
Our approach is multidisciplinary. We look to the humanities to imagine future scenarios, to technology to understand its tools and limits, and to the concreteness of the present, because this is where decisions are made and take effect.
With RE:V-TALK we want to take beyond company boundaries a distinctive trait of how we work: connecting different perspectives to interpret complexity and face uncertainty with greater awareness.
Three perspectives in dialogue
Technical perspective
The discussion starts from a technical perspective, to bring innovation into focus in its concrete possibilities and limits.
Humanistic perspective
The perspective of the social and cultural sciences, useful for reading change in its ethical and anthropological implications.
Experiential perspective
Those who live the transformation on the front line share what it means to face an ongoing transition today, out of necessity.
Holding these threads together is the moderator, who weaves the perspectives and engages the audience. Each meeting also has a Lead Partner, chosen among the companies with whom we have explored the topic.
